Tanta University Council, headed by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, approved during its regular session for the month of August 2026, the disbursement of a proficiency bonus worth 3,500 pounds to faculty members, 2,500 pounds to the auxiliary body, and 2,500 pounds to university employees, security personnel, secondees, and nursing staff in university hospitals who are on the job, in addition to disbursing a bonus equivalent to 20 days' wages with a maximum of 1,500 pounds for irregular workers «wages for work».
Prof. Muhammad Hussein stressed that the Council's decision comes in appreciation of the sincere efforts and distinguished performance provided by the university's members in its various academic, administrative and medical sectors during the past period, and in appreciation of their contributions to supporting the university's progress and improving the quality of its educational, research, medical and community services.
The university president added that the university is keen to motivate its cadres and provide a supportive work environment to continue achieving the highest rates of performance and institutional discipline, especially with the intensification of preparations to welcome the new academic year 2026/2027, and the completion of all academic, administrative and logistical equipment in colleges, university hospitals and various university sectors.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed that Tanta University places the support of its members and appreciation of their efforts at the top of its priorities, believing that the human element represents the basic pillar for achieving the university's goals and strategic plans, which reflects positively on the quality of performance and services provided to students and citizens.
