The President of Tanta University issues a decision appointing Dr. Yasser Abdo as an advisor to the University President for innovation



    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, issued a decision to assign Dr. Yasser Mohamed Abdo, Assistant Professor in the Physics Department, Faculty of Science, as an advisor to the University President for innovation. This decision comes within the framework of the university administration's keenness to support and develop the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, and maximize the benefit from the scientific and research competencies of faculty members to serve the sustainable development goals and Egypt's Vision 2030.


    The university president stressed that Tanta University pays great attention to the issue of innovation and entrepreneurship, as they are the basic pillars for transforming scientific research into practical applications that serve society and support the national economy, stressing the university's constant endeavor to provide a stimulating environment for students and researchers to transform their innovative ideas into implementable projects, and to enhance partnerships between Tanta University and various industrial and production sectors through innovative technological solutions.

 

    It is worth noting that Dr. Yasser Abdo obtained a Bachelor's degree in High Energy Physics from Tanta University with a very good grade and obtained master's and doctorate degrees. He progressed through scientific positions until he reached the rank of assistant professor in 2024, and was appointed Executive Director of the Center for the Care of the Gifted and Innovative.
