Prof. Muhammad Hussein: Renewing accreditation reflects the university's sustainable commitment to quality standards, patient safety, and the development of medical services
Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the renewal of the accreditation of the university's new surgical hospital from the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Regulation, in a step that reflects the university's continued commitment to applying quality and safety standards within its medical facilities, and continuing its efforts to raise the level of health care provided to citizens.
The President of Tanta University stressed that the renewal of accreditation represents the culmination of the ongoing institutional efforts within the hospital, and a practical translation of the university's keenness to consolidate the culture of quality and excellence, and apply the approved national standards in the fields of health care, patient safety, infection control, and improving institutional and medical performance.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein explained that the university treats the quality and accreditation system as a sustainable path for development and not just an organizational procedure, stressing the continuation of work to raise the efficiency of medical services and modernize work systems, in line with the requirements of the comprehensive health insurance system and the Egyptian state's orientations towards developing the health sector and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
The university president added that the medical sector is at the top of Tanta University's priorities due to its major role in serving the community, pointing out that the university continues to support its university hospitals, develop its infrastructure and technology, and raise the efficiency of medical, nursing, administrative and technical cadres, which contributes to providing safe and advanced health services to the people of Gharbia Governorate, the Delta governorates and neighboring areas.
For his part, Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, expressed his pride in renewing the accreditation of the new surgical hospital, stressing that this achievement reflects the extent of the efforts made by the hospital administration and all medical, nursing, administrative and technical teams, and its commitment to quality standards, patient safety requirements and improving the environment for providing health services.
He added that renewing accreditation represents an incentive to continue plans for continuous improvement and development, and to enhance the efficiency of work systems and medical services, stressing that the Faculty of Medicine and Tanta University Hospitals continue to support the quality and accreditation system, and apply the best practices that contribute to providing distinguished and safe health care to patients.
