Tanta University Announces Readiness for the Start of the New Academic Year 2026/2027 Tomorrow, Saturday


Prof. Mohamed Hussein: 188 million pounds to maintain and raise the efficiency of facilities. And 1.87 billion pounds for new construction projects

Starting studies for the first time in the Computer and Applied Data Science program at the College of Science


    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the completion of the university's preparations to begin studies for the new academic year 2026/2027, tomorrow, Saturday, September 19, stressing the readiness of colleges and educational and service facilities to receive students and the regularity of studies from the first day.


    The university president explained that the preparations included implementing projects to maintain and raise the efficiency of university facilities at a total cost of 188 million pounds, which included developing a number of buildings, halls, lecture halls, laboratories and service facilities, in addition to spending about 1.87 billion pounds on new construction projects currently being implemented, aiming to improve health, educational and administrative services and increase the university's capacity.


    He added that the preparation of study schedules, equipping halls, auditoriums and laboratories, reviewing security, safety and civil protection systems, and raising the level of readiness in education and student affairs departments have been completed to ensure the speedy completion of procedures and provide various aspects of support to students.


    Prof. Mohammed Hussein emphasized that the new academic year is witnessing an expansion of modern academic programs linked to the needs of the labor market. Studies will begin for the first time with the Computer Science and Applied Data Science program at the College of Science, as part of the university's drive to support future majors related to digital transformation, data analysis, and modern technology.


    The university president pointed out that the university has prepared integrated programs to receive new students and introduce them to university study systems and services, while providing academic guidance, health and social care, and support for students with disabilities, in addition to expanding electronic services and student activities.


    Regarding international students, he stressed that the university is working to facilitate admission and registration procedures, and provide academic and administrative support, health care, and various activities, ensuring ease of their integration into the university community and providing them with an integrated educational experience.


    He added that Tanta University continues to strengthen its partnerships with international universities and academic institutions, expand student, academic and research exchange programmes, and support international publishing, innovation and sustainability, thus enhancing the university's ability to compete and improve its position in global rankings.


    The President of Tanta University concluded by emphasizing that the university aims, at the beginning of the new year, to provide an integrated university experience that places the student at the heart of the development system, and combines quality education, skills development, innovation, and qualification for the labor market, in a safe university environment that stimulates excellence.
