The Tanta University Council, during its meeting held on September 30, 2026, for the 2025/2026 academic year, chaired by Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, approved the promotion of five faculty members to the academic rank of Professor.

    The promoted faculty members are: Hossam Mohamed Hassanein Qassem of the Faculty of Engineering; Mohamed Ibrahim El-Didamouni El-Sayed of the Faculty of Agriculture; Marwa Mohamed Atef Mostafa Khaled of the Faculty of Medicine; Soraya Ibrahim Khalifa Abdel-Samie of the Faculty of Science; and Amani Gamil Ali El-Attar of the Faculty of Specific Education.

    The Council also approved the promotion of 21 faculty members to the academic rank of Associate Professor. The promoted faculty members are:

• Faculty of Medicine: Ahmed Adel Abdel-Fattah Morsi, Shereen Mohamed El-Nabawi Rizk, Haidy Ali Mohamed Ali, Al-Shaimaa Mohamed Abdel-Fattah Hafez Badr El-Din, Abdullah El-Sayed Abdel-Moneim Allam, Heba Abdel-Aziz Hashem Hannot, Ayman Mousa Atwa Amer, Aya Farag Attia El-Sebaei, Marwa Yassin Abdel-Moneim Badr, Abdel-Rahman Ahmed Nagi Mohamed Saleh, and Mohamed Ezzat Mohamed Nasr El-Din.

• Faculty of Science: Hamed Adel Ibrahim Abu Sharaf and Afnan Hamdy Sobhi El-Guweili.

• Faculty of Pharmacy: Iman Mamoun Ali Mohi El-Din El-Khatib.

• Faculty of Dentistry: Al-Zahraa Mohamed Mostafa El-Marhoumi.

• Faculty of Engineering: Tahani Mahmoud Ibrahim Allam.

• Faculty of Arts: Hassan Younes Hassan Abdel-Rahman Abu El-Khair.

• Faculty of Law: Mahmoud Zaki Zaki Hussein Zeidan.

• Faculty of Specific Education: Fayza Ahmed Ahmed Masoud and Samar Ahmed Barakat El-Zahabi.

• Faculty of Applied Arts: Ola El-Sayed El-Toukhy Ismail.

    In addition, the Council approved the awarding of 256 diplomas, 84 master's degrees, and 48 doctoral degrees across various academic disciplines.
