Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Acting President of Tanta University, announced that Coagulation and Anticoagulation Laboratory at Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University, has had its ISO 15189:2012 accreditation renewed by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC).

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of University Hospitals’ Board, academic staff members, employees and the nursing staff on gaining the renewal of the accreditation by EGAC. He indicated that the renewal proves the lab readiness and the quality services it offers. He commended the efforts exerted by Faculty Dean and all personnel to have the accreditation renewed.

   Moreover, Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim added that the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) decided to renew the accreditation granted to the Coagulation and Anticoagulation Laboratory after the second periodic follow-up visit to the lab, which confirmed compliance with the specifications required for ISO 15189:2012 and the specifications of the council. He affirmed that the faculty always seeks to develop its labs and to equip them with the latest devices and technologies to present high-quality medical services that meet international standards.
