Acting President of Tanta University Attends “Saqar 138” Joint Practical Training for Crisis and Disaster Management

Today, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, along with a student delegation from the university, attended several practical exercises for simulated crises and how to confront and immediately handle them, in coordination with all relevant authorities. The activities included the alignment of engineering equipment, procedures for dealing with various situations and emergencies, and an inspection of the rapid shelter camp. These were part of the “Saqar 138” joint practical training for crisis and disaster management, attended by Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Gharbia Governor; Major General Staff Officer Osama Abdel Hamid Dawood, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces; Major General Ahmed Anwar, Secretary-General of Gharbia Governorate; Major General Magdy El-Saudi, Assistant Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces; Brigadier General Staff Officer Wael Fathy, Military Advisor for the Governorate; Colonel Staff Officer Hamdy Hindi, Assistant Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces; the Popular and Military Defense Forces Committee and its accompanying delegation; a representative from the Ministry of Local Development; as well as security and religious leaders; heads of districts, cities, and neighborhoods; general managers of various service directorates and relevant authorities.

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein expressed his pleasure in participating in today’s activities of the “Saqar 138” joint practical training for crisis and disaster management. He praised the efforts exerted by Gharbia Governorate, in collaboration with the Armed Forces represented by the Command of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, in conducting this three-day training. According to the official statement released by Gharbia Governorate, the training aims to develop and enhance the skills of the executive bodies in the governorate to confront crises and disasters by making optimal use of the available resources.
