Tanta University Organizes a Symposium Titled “Scholarships Offered by the European Union”

   Today, Tanta University organized a symposium titled “Scholarships Offered by the European Union”, in Conference Hall at the headquarters of University Administration. The symposium was attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Faten Abo Taleb, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry; Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of Faculty of Applied Arts; many deans of faculties, Prof. Saleh Shalaby, Manager of International Cooperation Unit; academic staff members, assistant staff, and researchers from different faculties of the university.

    In the speech he delivered, Prof. Hatem Amin confirmed that the symposium was organized in the framework of the university’s efforts exerted to enhance education, cultural exchange and scientific research. It also aimed to enable all university affiliates to benefit from these valuable scholarships and to foster participation in unique international programs. In addition, he affirmed that Tanta University takes part in EU programs as they play a great role in exchange of knowledge and experience, development of students’ and academic staff’s skills, fostering international collaboration, provision of job opportunities, supporting scientific research and improving the university’s position in world rankings. He indicated that the university made use of those programs over the last years and that they included student exchange programs, a capacity-building project to develop electric cars, and another project for development of electrical transformer oils. Finally, he commended the efforts of Prof. Saleh Shalaby and the organizers of this symposium that was a success.
