A Detailed Report on Tanta University's Participation in the Presidential Initiative "A New Beginning for Building the Human Being"

450 events were organized, benefiting more than 117,000 people. These events involved the participation of the university's main sectors, faculties, centers, and units.


The activities focused on education, health, and employment, aligned with Egypt's Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.



Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, presented a report prepared by the university's main sectors, faculties, centers, and units regarding their participation in the presidential initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for human development, titled "A New Beginning for Building the Human Being." This initiative commenced on September 17.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that the university was keen to participate in the presidential initiative through an executive plan that addressed the main pillars of education, health, and employment. This plan targeted university members and residents of Gharbia Governorate within a strategic framework based on the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the seven principles of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. This ensured the university's contribution to achieving the national goals of the initiative at both academic and community levels. He expressed his gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for providing full support to the university and for the ministry's continuous follow-up of the events. He also praised the efforts of the university's vice presidents, deans of faculties, faculty members, and staff in supporting the implementation of the university's plan.


The report highlighted the organization of approximately 450 events, benefiting more than 117,000 people, including university students, staff, and members of the external community. All the university's main sectors and faculties contributed to delivering services to the various age groups targeted by the initiative.


The report also included a detailed analysis evaluating the activities carried out by Tanta University as part of its executive plan, categorized under the initiative's main pillars.


Education Pillar: A total of 228 events were conducted, benefiting 40,637 participants. These included student activities, diverse competitions, awareness campaigns, and sports events, which engaged all university students.


Health Pillar: The university organized 120 events, focusing on comprehensive medical caravans aimed at the most underprivileged villages and areas in the governorate. These activities included medical, veterinary, literacy, reproductive health, economic empowerment, and agricultural caravans, along with innovation and development labs. Additionally, medical awareness seminars and workshops were held, benefiting approximately 45,640 participants.


Employment Pillar: Through its Career Development Centers and community service programs in its faculties, the university provided numerous training courses and skill development programs tailored to meet the needs of the labor market. Furthermore, it organized several employment fairs in various faculties, totaling 102 events, with 31,464 beneficiaries.
