Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, announced the qualification of several students and teams from the university for the finals of the “Ibda’a 13” Festival. The festival, held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is dedicated to university, institute, and academy students from both public and private sectors, aiming to nurture youth talents in literature, arts, and scientific and social innovations.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein added that the students qualified in 12 different fields, including:
Scientific Innovations – Startups and Entrepreneurship: The “Upcycle” team qualified, comprising Sherif Wael Antar Ghanem from the Faculty of Commerce, Hams Ahmed Al-Masry from the Faculty of Dentistry, and Fawzia Alaa Salama Badr from the Faculty of Dentistry.
Novel Writing: Salma Mohamed Hassanine Hassan qualified for her novel "Mudallaham."
Colloquial Poetry: Basant Ali Ibrahim Al-Fiqi qualified for "Tirhat Al-Jamizah."
Classical Poetry: Ahmed Mostafa Abdel Mohsen Abu Ghazala qualified for "Dars Min Al-She’r," and Mostafa Abdel Azim El-Sayed Abdel Azim for "Thawb Min Al-Layl."
Scientific Innovations – Engineering Innovations: Tasneem Hamdy El-Rameisy and Khaloud Ramadan Abdel Monem Saeed qualified with their project "Toxic Gases."
Fine Arts – Sculpture (Non-Specialized): Reda Mohamed Maleki qualified.
Individual Hymns: Patsy Hany Gerges Kamel Sourial qualified.
Individual Chanting: Mahmoud Ashraf Shaaban El-Dessouki qualified.
Fine Arts – Artistic Works (Specialized): Hana Mostafa Fahi qualified.
Music and Choir: The university choir team qualified.
Fine Arts – Photography (Specialized): Nour Mohamed Ahmed Ali qualified.
Folk Arts: The university’s folk arts team qualified.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated the university's students who reached the finals of the “Ibda’a 13” Festival, emphasizing the university's ongoing commitment to preparing its students for participation in local and international competitions. He affirmed the provision of all forms of support and training to enable them to achieve various championships.
