Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, announced an increase in the number of banks authorized to collect tuition fees from international students in US dollars. The number has now risen to four banks, including the Arab African International Bank, the Commercial International Bank, the Suez Canal Bank, and the National Bank of Egypt. This initiative aims to reduce congestion and long waiting times previously faced by international students when paying their tuition fees.
Prof.Mohamed Hussein emphasized that this expansion was coordinated with the Central Bank of Egypt to facilitate the collection of tuition fees in US dollars through three additional banks alongside the Arab African International Bank. These banks offer numerous electronic payment outlets across Gharbia Governorate, reflecting the university’s commitment to easing and enhancing the services provided to international students. This step also contributes to attracting more students from various nationalities. He extended his gratitude to Accountant Ahmed Rashad, Secretary-General of Tanta University, and Accountant Ahmed Ibrahim, Assistant Secretary-General for Financial Affairs, for their efforts in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that the university established the International Students Support Center in May 2023 to provide essential services, simplify procedures, and maintain continuous communication with international students to address their needs and support their academic journey.
