Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, announced that the university has made its first-ever appearance in the field of Pharmacy in the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, ranking 351-400 globally and 7th nationally. Additionally, in the field of Medicine, Tanta University ranked 501-550 globally and secured the 6th position nationally.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that this progress is a testament to the university’s ongoing efforts in advancing scientific research, enhancing research output, and providing a distinguished academic and research environment that aligns with modern educational and research needs. These efforts aim to achieve excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness, further strengthening the university’s academic and research standing.

Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, highlighted that the QS World University Rankings evaluate the top universities worldwide across five major fields and 55 subfields. The ranking methodology is based on key criteria, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, H-index citation impact, and international collaboration.
