Tanta University Announces the Opening of Applications for the Best Thesis Awards (Master’s – PhD) for the Academic Year 2024/2025

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, has announced the opening of applications for the Best Thesis Awards (Master’s and PhD) for the academic year 2024/2025, with a total of 12 awards available. The application period will run from March 1 to April 15.

The awards are distributed across three academic sectors:

• Medical Sciences Sector: (Two awards for Master’s theses and two for PhD theses), open to applicants from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing.

• Humanities Sector: (Two awards for Master’s theses and two for PhD theses), open to applicants from the Faculties of Law, Arts, Commerce, Education, Physical Education, and Specific Education.

• Basic, Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences Sector: (Two awards for Master’s theses and two for PhD theses), open to applicants from the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Computer and Information Sciences, and Applied Arts.

Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President of Tanta University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, clarified that the award for a PhD thesis is valued at EGP 10,000 (Ten thousand pounds) plus a Certificate of Appreciation, while the award for a Master’s thesis is EGP 8,000 (Eight thousand pounds) plus a Certificate of Appreciation.

Each faculty is required to nominate two Master’s theses and two PhD theses. Applications must be submitted through the faculty and forwarded to the University Missions Administration within the application period (March 1 – April 15). Eligible theses must have been awarded between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025.
