Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, announced the registration of the Research Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University, with the Supreme Council for Clinical Research Ethics under the Cabinet of Ministers. This achievement marks a significant milestone, making it the second medical school in Egypt to gain this recognition, following the Faculty of Medicine at Qasr Al-Aini.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, along with all faculty members on this remarkable accomplishment. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the faculty’s commitment to ethical and scientific standards in medical research, reinforcing its reputation and competitive standing among medical schools. He further highlighted that this aligns with the university’s strategic plan, supports the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, and contributes to Egypt’s Vision 2030.

For his part, Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim affirmed that this milestone demonstrates the faculty and its hospitals' dedication to scientific research and its development, ensuring the high quality of research in compliance with legal and ethical standards. He noted that it also enhances the efficiency of medical professionals and fosters a culture of scientific research and innovation, enabling faculty members and physicians to stay abreast of the latest global advancements in healthcare. He expressed his gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Hussein for his unwavering support of the Faculty of Medicine and its university hospitals. Additionally, he praised the efforts of Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Magdy Eissa, Chairman of the Ethics Committee.
