Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, announced that the university has made remarkable progress in the Nature Index ranking, advancing 129 places globally to rank 1674th worldwide among 5228 universities for the period from January 2024 to December 2024, compared to its previous ranking of 1803rd for the period from October 2023 to September 2024.

At the continental level, the university advanced 5 places, securing the 22nd position among 261 African universities, compared to its previous 27th position. Locally, Tanta University climbed two ranks, now occupying the 3rd position among 31 Egyptian universities, compared to its previous 5th place.

In Health Sciences, Tanta University ranked 3rd locally among 22 Egyptian universities, 18th in Africa among 162 universities, and 691st globally among 2543 universities.
