Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Al-Ahmadi Mosque in Tanta, accompanied by Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, and several senior security and executive officials. Among them were Major General Mohamed Ammar, First Assistant Minister of Interior for the Central Delta Region; Major General Ayman Abdel Hamid, Director of Gharbia Security; Prof. Mahmoud Issa, Deputy Governor; Brigadier General Wael Fathy, Military Advisor for the Governorate; Colonel Ahmed Aref, Head of National Security in Gharbia; Engineer Ali Abdel Sattar, Assistant Secretary-General; Major General Mohamed Anani, Head of the Central Administration for the Governor’s Office, as well as a number of Members of Parliament and the Senate, city and district heads, directors of service directorates, and a large gathering of executive and community leaders in the governorate.
After the prayer, the Tanta University President and the Governor of Gharbia exchanged greetings with worshippers in a festive atmosphere reflecting the joy of Egyptians on this blessed occasion.
In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in society, promoting values of tolerance, solidarity, and strengthening social bonds while upholding both religious and humanitarian principles in dealings with others. He expressed his joy at this occasion, wishing everyone a happy and blessed Eid, hoping that it serves as an opportunity to renew hope and ambition and that peace and prosperity prevail in our country.
He also reassured that university hospitals are fully prepared with adequate medical staff to handle any emergency cases during the Eid holiday.
