Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, inaugurated today the University President’s Cup Football Tournament for the academic year 2024/2025. The event is held at the university stadium in the Sibrbay campus, running from April 12 to May 6, 2025, in the presence of several deans and vice deans of faculties, faculty members, and the Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare at the university.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein expressed his happiness at attending the opening of the third edition of the University President’s Cup alongside the university students, reflecting the university's commitment to promoting sports activities among students. He stressed his keenness to engage with students in such significant sporting events, which offer an excellent opportunity to showcase students' talents and promote teamwork and fair competition. He also noted that the university is continuously developing sports infrastructure according to the highest international standards. He extended his gratitude to the faculty deans for their support of student activities and sincerely thanked all those who contributed to organizing this event, including the University Student Union, the General Administration for Student Welfare, and the "Students for Egypt" family, for presenting the tournament in such an honorable manner.

In turn, Mr. Mohamed El-Kassir thanked Prof. Mohamed Hussein for his constant support for student activities at the university. He pointed out that the opening ceremony featured a karate performance by the university’s team, which won third place in the 51st El-Rifai Championship. The opening match was held between the Faculties of Engineering and Physical Education. The tournament will continue until May 6, 2025. He wished all participants success and excellence in this sporting event.
