Tanta University President, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Student Union for the academic year 2024/2025, joined by a number of deans and vice deans from various university faculties, Mr. Mohamed El-Qaseer, Director General of Student Welfare, as well as elected members of the student union committees.

Prof. Hussein expressed his happiness to take part in the celebration, affirming the university’s belief that students are the core of the educational process and a fundamental pillar in advancing society. He emphasized the significant role that the Student Union plays in shaping student character, developing leadership skills, promoting teamwork and collaboration, and representing the university in both local and international arenas in a manner that reflects the institution’s prestige and legacy.

He encouraged all union members to live up to the responsibility entrusted to them, work as a unified team, and always prioritize the welfare of students and the university. He also urged them to continue their dedication and efforts in contributing to a comprehensive university environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Prof. Hussein wished them success and hoped this union would serve as a launching pad for future leaders.

For his part, Mr. Mohamed El-Qaseer, Director General of Student Welfare, extended his gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Hussein for his unwavering support of students and his belief in the importance of student activities as a means of enriching their personal development. He noted that student unions are the true voice of students, reflecting their opinions and aiming to enhance their political, cultural, and social awareness. He also acknowledged the previous student union councils for their continuous communication with the university and their peers, and for sharing their valuable experience.
