The 10th International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Specific Education Kicks Off at Tanta University Tanta University President Prof. Mohamed Hussein: "The Conference Theme Reflects an Ambitious National Vision Under President El-Sisi’s Leadership"

The 10th International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Specific Education at Tanta University launched today under the title: “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Specific Education: A New Beginning for Human Development.” The event is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and attended by Tanta University President Prof. Mohamed Hussein; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Rania El-Imam, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. El-Sayed Mazroua, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Conference Rapporteur; Prof. Naglaa El-Helaby, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Akram Namir, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with a large group of faculty members, journalists, and media representatives. The opening session took place in the Grand Conference Hall at the university's medical complex.

In his opening remarks, Tanta University President Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that the conference theme embodies an ambitious national vision under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, reaffirming the university’s strong commitment to staying aligned with the latest scientific and technological advancements to serve the educational process and foster human development. He noted that the theme aligns perfectly with the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development.”

Prof. Hussein added that specific education, in its broadest sense, aims to nurture students' creativity and innovation while equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute effectively to the development of society. He stressed that the conference provides a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences and insights among researchers and specialists in the fields of artificial intelligence and specific education, and that the discussions and presentations throughout the conference will contribute significantly to enriching educational practices and knowledge.

The University President extended his sincere thanks to Minister Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour for his patronage and continuous support for Tanta University. He also thanked all conference participants and the organizing committee for their efforts, expressing his hopes that the conference will achieve its objectives in advancing specific education and human development in line with the presidential vision.

Prof. Hatem Amin expressed his pleasure at participating in the conference, which brings together a distinguished group of experts and specialists. He highlighted the importance of the conference theme as a roadmap to prioritize artificial intelligence in building a globally competitive future. He added that the conference aligns with Egypt’s national strategy for higher education and scientific research, emphasizing that AI has become an essential partner in the development of specific education—across arts, music, educational technology, and special education. AI offers intelligent tools that enhance creativity, personalize learning, and make the educational process more inclusive and responsive to students’ individual needs. He concluded by expressing his hope that the conference will produce practical recommendations that can be implemented and foster collaborations between universities, industry, and research sectors.

Prof. Rania El-Imam, Dean of the Faculty, noted that recent years have witnessed major advancements in artificial intelligence, which have revolutionized human resource development, curricula, and the overall educational approach. She stated that AI is reshaping specific education by introducing features of a virtual world into learning systems. She encouraged faculty members to actively engage with this transformation by enhancing their skills and incorporating AI into curriculum design—balancing modern technology with cultural identity, creativity, and knowledge.

On the sidelines of the event, the University President inaugurated a student art exhibition. The opening session also featured a documentary film about the faculty and the presentation of the conference shield to Tanta University President Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Prof. Hatem Amin, and the late Prof. Mahmoud El-Sayed Ahmed, Professor of Woodworking, in recognition of his contributions.
