Tanta University Council for Education and Student Affairs Honors Prof. Mohamed Hussein for His Contributions to Advancing the Educational System

Tanta University President Prof. Mohamed Hussein chaired the regular session of the University Council for Education and Student Affairs, attended by Prof. Mamdouh Al-Masry, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Prof. Essawy Qassem, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Nancy El-Hefnawi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information; Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts; and Prof. Atef Nweir, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Science and external member of the Council. Also present were Vice Deans for Education and Student Affairs from various faculties, Council members, Prof. Haitham El-Koumy, Director General of Education at the University, and Sobhy El-Naggar, Director of Registration and Academic Affairs.

The Council members extended their heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Mohamed Hussein on the occasion of the presidential decree appointing him as President of Tanta University. They expressed their confidence in his leadership and affirmed their continued efforts to achieve further academic and research excellence under his guidance. They also prayed for his success in fulfilling his new responsibilities, in service of the university’s advancement and prosperity, and in enhancing the educational and research processes at Tanta University.

During the session, Prof. Mohamed Hussein was honored for his exceptional efforts and achievements during his tenure as Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. His leadership significantly contributed to the development of the educational system, the enhancement of academic and administrative performance, and the achievement of institutional excellence across the university. His work played a vital role in raising the quality and efficiency of the university learning environment.

The session also included discussions on several key topics, including the recent ministerial decisions from the Supreme Council of Universities regarding the allocation of scholarships for students from STEM high schools in faculties such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, and Computers & Information. Additionally, the Council reviewed new academic regulations for three specialized programs at the Faculty of Agriculture.
