The Tanta University Council convened today for its April session, chaired by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, with The presence of Prof. Fouad Harras and Prof. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khaleq, former Presidents of Tanta University, Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, The college deans, The university's legal advisor, and The university secretary-general.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein opened The meeting by emphasizing The importance of all university faculties being fully prepared to receive students and ensure a safe and organized environment for final exams, in line with The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directives. He confirmed that examination committees have been formed in all faculties, halls are fully equipped, and precautionary measures are in place to ensure The safety of students and faculty members. Medical teams will be present in each faculty to handle emergencies promptly. He stressed that exam schedules were prepared with students’ best interests in mind to avoid congestion and subject conflicts, ensuring transparency and integrity throughout The examination process.
Prof. Hussein also directed deans to provide a welcoming educational and cultural environment for international students and to support them throughout their academic journey. He highlighted The university’s commitment to integrating international students into campus life and The local community through various events and activities that foster cultural exchange and communication. He praised The role of The "Study in Egypt" platform, noting that Tanta University has updated its academic programs and uploaded comprehensive information, making it easier for international students to apply and enroll.
Additionally, Prof. Mohamed Hussein mentioned that The Supreme Council of Universities recommended that graduation projects in practical faculties should address local and national Development needs, in collaboration with executive agencies. This involves identifying developmental priorities through field studies and joint workshops, guiding students toward projects that meet these needs under joint supervision with experts from executive bodies. He emphasized The need for deans to establish sustainable partnerships through memoranda of understanding and advisory boards to ensure effective integration and enhance The contribution of scientific Research to sustainable Development.
Prof. Amr Abdel Moneim, General Supervisor of The University Medical Administration, presented a report on The cooperation protocol between Tanta University and The Prosthetic Devices Factory at The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center affiliated with The Medical Services Department of The Ministry of Defense.
Prof. Mohamed El-Nemr, Executive Director of The Main Center for Electronic and Knowledge Services, also presented a report on The financial settlement timetable through digital platforms.
