Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, participated in the opening of the 13th International Scientific Conference of Ain Shams University, held under the slogan "75 Years of Excellence and Leadership... An Eye on the Past and a Sun Illuminating the Future."

The event was attended by Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population; Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments; Prof. Ahmed Fouad Henno, Minister of Culture; Prof. Ibrahim Saber, Cairo Governor; Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abidin, President of Ain Shams University; along with a number of former ministers, university presidents, higher education leaders, members of parliament and senate, Ain Shams University leaders, faculty members, and students.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attendees watched a documentary titled "Between the Past, Present, and Future" showcasing the advancements of Ain Shams University in terms of infrastructure, the development of faculty buildings, enhanced efficiency, equipping the university with the latest technological tools, upgrading university hospitals with state-of-the-art medical devices, and highlighting the university's medical city. The film also presented the names of prominent graduates who held leadership positions and contributed to the nation's progress.

The conference honored Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population; Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Ali Abdel Aal, former Speaker of the House of Representatives; Mr. Sameh Shoukry, former Minister of Foreign Affairs; the late Hesham Barakat, former Public Prosecutor (award received by his daughter, Counselor Marwa); Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, former President of Ain Shams University; and a number of distinguished graduates.

The 13th International Scientific Conference coincides with Ain Shams University's celebration of its diamond jubilee, marking 75 years of academic excellence and community leadership. The conference includes a variety of scientific sessions. The first day features sessions on the university's role in supporting major national projects, international publication awards, updates from the university's hospitals, and a special session for Ain Shams National University.

On the second day, sessions cover innovation and digital transformation, diversity, equity and inclusion issues, and the university's international contributions, concluding with an official closing ceremony.
