To Increase Capacity and Provide Distinguished Training Opportunities at Medical Sector Faculties: Tanta University President Conducts Inspection Tour to Follow Up on Development Works at the Faculties of Nursing and Dentistry

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, conducted an inspection tour today to follow up on the ongoing construction and development works at the Faculties of Nursing and Dentistry. He was accompanied by Prof. Faten Abu Taleb, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Prof. Afaf Bassal, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Prof. Sherine Abdel-Mawla, Vice Dean of Dentistry for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ali El-Sheikh, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Yasser Makaki, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hosni Doweir, Director of the Center for Engineering Research and Consultation; and prof. Mohamed Abou Helal, Deputy Director of the Center.


The tour at the Faculty of Dentistry included a detailed inspection of the ongoing renovation works on the fourth floor, which involve the modernization of clinics, laboratories, and the digital dentistry unit. Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that upgrading the college’s clinics and labs is a top priority, as it directly contributes to increasing capacity and providing outstanding hands-on training opportunities for students, enabling them to gain necessary skills with high efficiency. These facilities also play a crucial role in delivering specialized dental services to citizens in the Delta region.


During his visit to the Faculty of Nursing, Tanta University President reviewed the latest updates on the renovation and development efforts underway at the faculty. He underscored the importance of these works in creating an exceptional educational and practical environment for both students and faculty members. The objective is to enhance the quality of educational and training services provided at the college and to ensure that all resources are in place to graduate highly qualified nursing professionals who can meet community needs.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein also instructed the swift completion and delivery of the ongoing construction to facilitate academic and administrative operations and provide adequate space for various student activities. He praised the efforts of the teams executing the projects and affirmed the university administration’s full support for infrastructure development across all faculties to serve the educational and research process.


He added that such inspection tours reflect the university administration’s commitment to the continuous monitoring of development projects across all faculties, with the aim of providing the best educational and research resources for students and staff. He called for the prompt completion of the works, partial handover of completed sections according to timelines, and fast-tracking the remaining phases of development.
