Tanta University President and Vice President for Postgraduate Studies Inspect University Representative Election Committees for the Staff Welfare Improvement Fund

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, conducted an inspection tour today of the polling committee for the election of the university’s representative on the Board of the Staff Welfare Improvement Fund for Egyptian Universities’ Non-Faculty Members.

The aim of the tour was to ensure the electoral process is proceeding smoothly and transparently, while providing a conducive environment for all staff members to cast their votes.


During the tour, Prof. Hussein checked that the organizational procedures were being followed in accordance with established standards and guidelines. He made sure all necessary facilities were in place to enable staff to easily access polling stations and vote without obstacles.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein stated that Tanta University is committed to making this election a model of democracy and transparency. He emphasized that the participation of staff members in choosing their representative to the Staff Welfare Fund is vital to meeting their needs and improving their working and living conditions. He affirmed that this election offers a real opportunity for staff to actively participate in the decision-making process that directly affects them, and that the university is fully committed to providing all necessary support for the success of the election.


Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Head of the Supreme Election Committee, also visited the polling stations in various university faculties, accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Rashad, University Secretary-General. Prof. Amin engaged in open discussions with election committee members supervising the process to listen to any challenges they might be facing and to offer necessary support. He also spoke with several staff members who came to vote, listening to their opinions and feedback on the electoral process as a whole—reflecting the university’s keenness on effective participation and responsiveness to staff sentiments.


Prof. Hatem Amin emphasized the critical importance of staff participation in electing their representative, as it directly impacts efforts to improve their work and living conditions through the Welfare Fund. He stressed that the election provides staff with a meaningful chance to be involved in decisions that concern them.


He further affirmed Tanta University’s commitment to transparency and integrity in all administrative and electoral processes and its dedication to supporting staff rights and empowering them to exercise their democratic role in choosing their representative. These efforts highlight the university administration's dedication to improving the work environment and ensuring a decent life for all its non-faculty members. He also confirmed that the vote counting process will continue with full transparency and that results will be announced immediately after the count concludes.
