Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, conducted an extensive inspection tour yesterday evening at the Tanta National University campus to review the final preparations of lecture halls and laboratories in anticipation of the university’s inaugural academic year in 2025/2026.
The tour was attended by a number of senior officials and academic leaders, including Prof. Mamdouh Al-Masry, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Prof. Mohamed Al-Nemr, Executive Director of the University’s Main Center for Electronic and Knowledge Services; Prof. Hossny Doweir, Director of the Engineering Research and Consulting Center; and Prof. Mohamed Abou Helal, Deputy Director of the same center.
Prof. Hussein emphasized that the university is moving steadily to ensure full readiness to welcome its first cohort of students in the upcoming academic year. He highlighted the high-quality facilities being put in place, fully aligned with international standards in higher education. The new infrastructure features cutting-edge technology in specialized laboratories that support the university’s modern academic programs, designed to meet the evolving needs of the local, regional, and international labor markets, and equip graduates with the skills and knowledge required for excellence and innovation.
He also commended the efforts of all personnel involved in the preparation of the campus, noting that the university's primary mission is to offer high-quality education that meets market demands and contributes to building a bright future for its students.
The academic year 2025/2026 will mark the start of academic operations across seven faculties, offering diverse, forward-looking programs including:
Faculty of Medicine: Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (credit hours)
Faculty of Dentistry: Bachelor of Oral and Dental Surgery
Faculty of Engineering: Programs in Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering
Faculty of Computer Science and AI: Program in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
Faculty of Al-Alsun: Program in English Language and Translation
Faculty of Business: Programs in Business Information Systems and Accounting & Digital Financial Innovations
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Programs in Surveying, Mapping & Geographic Information Systems, and Museum & Heritage Site Management
