Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, participated today in the meeting of the Council of National Universities, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Maher Mesbah, Secretary of the Council, members of the Council, and a number of ministry leaders. The meeting took place at the ministry headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Council expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continued support of the higher education system and for issuing 12 republican decrees to establish new national universities. These include: Suez National University, Damanhour National University, Cairo National University, Ain Shams National University, Sohag National University, Kafr El-Sheikh National University, New Valley National University, Fayoum National University, Tanta National University, Luxor National University, Damietta National University, and Sadat City National University.
The Minister noted that national universities have become a strong addition to the Egyptian higher education system and have made remarkable progress since they began operating. This has earned them the trust of Egyptian society, including students and parents, as they represent a leading model in providing modern, high-quality education that connects knowledge with application.
