In its 12th session of the 2024/2025 academic year, held under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, the Tanta University Council approved the promotion of 39 faculty members and the appointment of 33 new lecturers across various faculties.

The Council granted the academic title of Professor to faculty members in several disciplines, including Education, Science, Commerce, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Physical Education, Medicine, and Specific Education. Likewise, the academic title of Associate Professor was conferred upon faculty members representing Science, Commerce, Pharmacy, Engineering, Agriculture, Physical Education, and Medicine.

Furthermore, the Council approved the appointment of 33 faculty members to the position of Lecturer across the faculties of Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, Specific Education, Medicine, and Arts, thereby strengthening the academic body of the University with a new generation of scholars and researchers.

In addition to these academic advancements, the Council approved the awarding of:

42 Doctoral degrees,

61 Master’s degrees, and

50 Postgraduate Diplomas

in a wide range of specializations.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that these promotions and appointments reflect the University’s commitment to academic excellence, the advancement of research, and the continuous development of human capital in alignment with national strategies for higher education and scientific research.
