Tanta University Celebrates Outstanding High School Achievers from Gharbia

Under the leadership of Prof. Mahmoud Hussein, Tanta University hosted a special ceremony to recognize the top-performing students in Egypt’s Thanaweya Amma (General Secondary Certificate) from Gharbia Governorate. The event reflects the University’s strong commitment to supporting and nurturing exceptional talent. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Eng. Nasser Hassan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Gharbia.


The honored students included:


Omar Saad El-Din Kamel Abdel Aziz: First place nationwide (Science Division) – STEM School for Science and Technology.


Nada Ramadan Mohamed Atta: Third place nationwide (Mathematics Division) – Shaheed Ibrahim Hussein Mohamed School.


Mariam Mohamed Sami El-Gerwany: Ninth place nationwide (Science Division) – Om El-Mo’meneen Secondary School, Tanta.


Prof. Mahmoud Hussein affirmed that this recognition demonstrates the University’s dedication to motivating outstanding students to continue their educational journey with excellence. He added that Tanta University is committed to nurturing gifted youth, providing them with all forms of support, and empowering them to contribute to building the nation’s future.


Prof. Mahmoud Selim highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional ties with the community, noting that honoring such students is part of the University’s strategy to reinforce its societal role and collaborate with state institutions in driving local development.


For his part, Eng. Nasser Hassan expressed his appreciation for the ongoing cooperation with Tanta University, stressing its pivotal role in advancing education and serving the wider community.
