Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, inaugurated today the development works of the five-a-side football pitch and the aquatic sports complex at the Faculty of Sport Sciences. The inauguration was attended by Prof. Hani Saeed, Dean of the Faculty, the faculty’s vice deans, a number of teaching staff, and students. The renovations come within the framework of the university’s plan to modernize sports infrastructure and provide the best services for students.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that these development projects are part of the university’s strategic plan to upgrade its sports facilities and enhance the student experience. He added that sports are an integral part of university education—not only building bodies but also developing minds and shaping character. He stressed the university’s continuous commitment to expanding and modernizing its sports facilities, reflecting its dedication to creating a holistic environment that supports both academic excellence and physical well-being.
The University President further noted that investing in sports infrastructure is a direct investment in the students’ future and in their physical and mental health. He emphasized that the university’s primary objective is to provide all necessary resources to ensure that students make the most of their university years, graduating as leaders ready to contribute effectively across various fields.
Following the inauguration, the University President joined the faculty’s ceremony marking the beginning of the academic year. He congratulated the new students on joining the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Tanta University, encouraging them to work diligently and make full use of the opportunities and resources provided by the university. He also listened to the students’ aspirations and questions regarding the new academic year, reaffirming that the university administration is committed to offering full support to ensure a stimulating and successful learning environment for all.
