Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, performed the Friday prayer today at the historic Al-Ahmadi Mosque in Tanta, accompanied by H.E. Prof. Osama Al-Azhar, Minister of Awqaf, Prof. Nazeer Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Mr. Ahmed Al-Muslimani, Head of the National Media Authority, Maj. Gen. Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, and Maj. Gen. Osama Nasr, Director of Gharbia Security.
The event came as part of the celebrations marking the 227th National Day of Gharbia Governorate, held this year under the theme “Week of Goodness”, in the presence of a large crowd of citizens, as well as executive, security, and community leaders.
Among those attending were Prof. Mahmoud Eissa, Deputy Governor; Col. Wael Fathy, Military Advisor; and Eng. Ali Abdel Sattar, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate, along with members of the House of Representatives and Senate, and a distinguished gathering of religious and executive figures.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein extended his warmest congratulations to the people of Gharbia on the occasion of the 227th National Day, celebrated this year under the slogan “Week of Goodness.” He emphasized that the participation of Tanta University in these celebrations reflects its deep social commitment and strategic partnership in serving the governorate.
He further noted that the “Week of Goodness” initiative represents a genuine platform for generosity and direct community development, reaffirming the university’s continuous dedication to working hand in hand with executive, security, and community bodies to ensure that Gharbia remains among the leading governorates in Egypt.
