Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, chaired today's meeting of the Supreme Council of Centers and Units, in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mohamed Nower, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Science and Coordinator of the Supreme Council; Prof. Abdel Aziz Abdel Dayem, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Science; Counselor Khairy Amara, the University's Legal Advisor; and Accountant Ahmed Rashad, the University's Secretary General.
Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, affirmed that the university is moving forward with activating institutional governance mechanisms across all its centers, units, and faculties. This is a fundamental pillar for ensuring administrative and financial discipline and achieving the highest levels of transparency and integrity. He pointed out that this approach directly aims to raise operational efficiency and maximize the utilization of available resources, thereby guaranteeing a tangible increase in the university's self-generated revenues and their reinvestment in developing the educational and research system in accordance with the university's general strategy.
The university president added that implementing these standards represents a strategic step towards enhancing the university's capabilities in the fields of knowledge economy. This is achieved by linking the outputs of scientific research to market demands and transforming university units into smart production centers that contribute to sustainable development. He emphasized that Tanta University, through this developed model, seeks to build an institutional environment characterized by effectiveness and the ability to adapt to global changes. This will support the university's position as a leading institution that supports Egypt's Vision 2030 in transitioning towards a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy.
