Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, has announced the opening of applications for the Best Thesis Awards (Master’s and PhD) for the academic year 2025/2026, totaling 12 awards. Applications will be accepted from March 1 until April 15.

   The President of Tanta University explained that the awards are divided into three sectors:

• Medical Sciences Sector:

Two awards for Master’s theses and two awards for PhD dissertations, open to applicants from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing.

• Humanities Sector:

Two awards for Master’s theses and two awards for PhD dissertations, open to applicants from the Faculties of Law, Arts, Commerce, Education, Physical Education, and Specific Education.

• Basic, Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences Sector:

Two awards for Master’s theses and two awards for PhD dissertations, open to applicants from the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Computers and Information, and Applied Arts.

   Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stated that the value of each PhD award is EGP 10,000 (ten thousand Egyptian pounds) in addition to a certificate of appreciation, while each Master’s award is EGP 8,000 (eight thousand Egyptian pounds) in addition to a certificate of appreciation.

   He further clarified that each faculty may nominate two Master’s theses and two PhD dissertations. Applications must be submitted through the respective faculty and delivered to the University’s Scholarships Administration during the period from March 1 to April 15. Eligible theses must have been awarded between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026.
