Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the launch of the fifth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Award for 2026, under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. The award aims to support government entities and promote a culture and mindset of excellence in institutional performance by enhancing their readiness and ensuring the sustainability of excellence.
Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Head of the Award Team, noted that this year’s award includes categories such as Distinguished Institution, Institutional Innovation and Creativity, and Work Teams, in addition to individual awards for staff members and university leaders. One of the key directions of the new cycle is the update of certain guidelines and criteria for various award categories, along with the introduction of new categories.
Regarding the Individual Excellence Award, and within the framework of supporting leadership competencies and encouraging excellence at the individual level, applications will be open to all individual categories within the university without a maximum limit.
