Tanta University President, “A Great Breakthrough in Eliminating Illiteracy in Gharbia Governorate at Tanta University’s Comprehensive Convoys in July and August”

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, declared that the convoys organized by the university in July and August in cooperation with Decent Life Foundation in the neediest villages made a great breakthrough in eliminating illiteracy of 820 citizens and holding immediate exams for them as part of the activities conducted at the convoys.

    These words were declared after the meeting held by Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Tanta University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, with deans of faculties concerned with eliminating illiteracy, academic staff who are coordinators of the Literacy Project and representatives of the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education to follow up implementation of the university’s plan of literacy.

   Moreover, Prof. Mahmoud Salim followed up the steps of holding immediate literacy exams at faculties of Education, Law, and Commerce. He gave directions as for informing the university with the results of these exams timely to give students their certificates.
