Tanta University Offers Medical Care Services to 1415 Patients in Zefta

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, announced organizing a comprehensive medical convoy to Menyat Al-Mobasherin located in Zefta district in Gharbia governorate in cooperation with the Supreme Medical Aid Committee of the Cabinet as part of the presidential initiative Decent Life aiming to develop Egyptian rural areas.

     Furthermore, Prof. Mahmoud Zaki declared that the university has human cadres and financial capabilities enabling it to serve the surrounding community and to meet its needs. He pointed out that this convoy is the 12th one organized by the university in Zefta this year where 16606 patients in this province were examined in various medical specialties during 2022.

    Moreover, Prof. Mahmoud Salim stated that the convoys sent by the university meet actual needs of society in the light of the plan drawn up by Community Service and Environmental Development Sector for achieving health, environmental, and social development, and presenting medical services and guidance to citizens of the governorate.

    In addition, Prof. Mohammad Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, declared that 1415 patients were examined at the convoy in 12 clinics including neurology, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, urology, ENT, general surgery, chest, Neuropsychiatry, ophthalmology, and cardiovascular medicine. He added that 65 cases were transferred to Tanta University Hospitals.
