The President of Tanta University honors Prof. Yahya Al-Najjar in appreciation of his global research achievement published in Nature magazine

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, received Prof. Yehia Ahmed Shaaban El-Naggar, Professor of Bee Biology at the Faculty of Science, to honor him in appreciation of his distinguished research achievement and participation within an international research team in a pioneering study recently published in the international journal Nature, one of the most prestigious and influential scientific journals in the world, in the presence of Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science.


   The President of Tanta University congratulated Prof. Yehia El-Naggar on this international scientific achievement, stressing that publishing research of this level in Nature magazine represents a qualitative addition to Tanta University's research record, and reflects the ability of its scientists to participate effectively in international research teams, and produce influential scientific knowledge that contributes to raising the name of the university and the status of Egyptian scientific research internationally.


   Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that this achievement reflects Tanta University's strategy to support applied and international scientific research and enhance cooperation with prestigious research institutions. He noted that Prof. Yehia El-Naggar's participation in a research team that included scientists from China, the United States, and Germany embodies an honorable model of cross-border research excellence and underscores the ability of Egyptian talent to have an influential presence in global scientific issues.


   For her part, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the College of Science, expressed her pride in this achievement, stressing that the College of Science includes an elite group of scientists and researchers capable of competing internationally, and that Prof. Yahya Al-Najjar's participation in this research represents an extension of his distinguished scientific career in the field of bee biology and environmental sciences.


   The Dean of the College of Science added that the University President's honoring of Prof. Yahya Al-Najjar reflects the University's appreciation for its distinguished scientists and researchers, and its keenness to establish a culture of motivation and celebrate scientific achievement, which encourages young researchers to engage in innovative research paths capable of being published in major international journals.


   For his part, Prof. Yahya Al-Najjar expressed his appreciation for the honor from the University President, pointing out that the research contributed to reformulating the traditional understanding of the mechanism of development of honey bee queens, as its results showed that the development of queens does not only depend on royal jelly as was prevalent for decades, but is also linked to the vital and engineering role played by workers in building royal houses with precise physical and chemical properties that affect the growth and development of larvae Which opens new horizons for understanding the biological systems of social organisms.
