In Enhancement of Decent Life Initiative, Tanta University’s Convoy in Santa Province Offers Medical Care Services to 1129 Patients

Tanta University organized a comprehensive medical convoy today in Al-Gaafaria village in Santa province located in Gharbia governorate to examine to patients and to give them medicaments for free under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Salim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with Decent Life Foundation.

At the convoy, 1129 patients were examined in 12 different clinics as follows: 54 patients in neurosurgery clinic, 131 in pediatrics, 154 in orthopedic surgery, 95 in dermatology, 128 in internal medicine, 51 in urology, 142 in ENT, 35 in general surgery, 65 in chest, 69 in neuropsychiatry, 172 in ophthalmology and 33 in cardiovascular surgery.

In addition, 61 patients were transferred to University Hospitals as follows: 2 patients were transferred to neurosurgery clinic, 2 to pediatric clinic, 8 to orthopedic surgery, 2 to dermatology, 1 internal medicine, 4 to urology, 6 to ENT, 4 to general surgery, 2 to chest, 4 to neuropsychiatry, 24 to ophthalmology, and 2 cases to cardiovascular surgery clinic. Moreover, 30 citizens took literacy exams at the convoy, and 50 fruitful trees were planted.

    It is worth noting that the convoy was held with participation of Prof. Mohamed Al-Shibiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Acting Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy; Prof. Randa Al-Deep, Manager of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women; Mr. Mohamed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects; and Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
