In Enhancement of Decent Life Initiative, Tanta University’s Convoy in Kafr El-Zayyat Province Offers Medical Care Services to 1142 Patients

    Tanta University organized a comprehensive medical convoy today in Benover village in Kafr El-Zayyat province located in Gharbia governorate to examine to patients and to give them medicaments for free under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Salim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with Decent Life Foundation.

    At the convoy, 1142 patients were examined in 13 different clinics as follows: 107 patients in neurosurgery clinic, 91 in pediatrics, 153 in orthopedic surgery, 137 in dermatology, 68 in internal medicine, 58 in urology, 146 in ENT, 32 in general surgery, 71 in chest, 28 in neuropsychiatry, 176 in ophthalmology, 35 in cardiovascular surgery, and 40 in family planning.

   In addition, 72 patients were transferred to University Hospitals as follows: 4 patients were transferred to neurosurgery clinic, 10 to pediatric clinic, 7 to orthopedic surgery, 4 to dermatology, 5 internal medicine, 5 to urology, 6 to ENT, 5 to general surgery, 4 to chest, 4 to neuropsychiatry, 3 cases to cardiovascular surgery, and 15 to ophthalmology clinic. Moreover, 15 citizens took literacy exams at the convoy, and 50 fruitful trees were planted. Furthermore, Faculty of Nursing gave lectures to citizens of the village on first aid, chronic diseases, and social issues related to women and children.

   It is worth noting that the convoy was held with participation of Prof. Mohamed Al-Shibiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Mohamed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects; and Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
