In Enhancement of Decent Life Initiative, Tanta University’s Convoy in Zefta Province Offers Medical Care Services to 1084 Patients

Tanta University organized a comprehensive medical convoy today in Faransis village in Zefta province located in Gharbia governorate to examine to patients and to give them medicaments for free under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Salim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with Decent Life Foundation.

    At the convoy, 1084 patients were examined in 13 different clinics as follows: 83 patients in neurosurgery clinic, 112 in pediatrics, 114 in orthopedic surgery, 101 in dermatology, 104 in internal medicine, 76 in urology, 116 in ENT, 32 in general surgery, 76 in chest, 24 in neuropsychiatry, 138 in ophthalmology, 32 in cardiovascular surgery, and 76 in family planning.

    In addition, 86 patients were transferred to University Hospitals as follows: 8 patients were transferred to neurosurgery clinic, 2 to pediatric clinic, 6 to orthopedic surgery, 3 to dermatology, 7 internal medicine, 9 to urology, 14 to ENT, 6 to general surgery, 4 to chest, 1 to neuropsychiatry, 4 cases to cardiovascular surgery, and 22 to ophthalmology clinic.

     Moreover, 40 citizens took literacy exams at the convoy, and 50 fruitful trees were planted. Furthermore, Faculty of Nursing gave lectures to citizens of the village on first aid and chronic diseases.

    It is worth noting that the convoy was held with participation of Prof. Mohamed Al-Shibiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Acting Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy; Mr. Mohamed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects; and Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
