Tanta University President: “Literacy is a National Duty and a Major Prerequisite for Graduation”

       Prof. Magdi Sab', Tanta University President, declared that the University Council approved, in its session that was held on September 15, 2019, that students at theoretical faculties have to eliminate illiteracy of two people as a prerequisite for graduation.

       Tanta University President confirmed that literacy is considered mutual national responsibility that the State's bodies, apparatus and youth have to participate in. He also said that literacy is a national duty and a base of development as it participates in decreasing the levels of illiteracy at the governorate level in particular and the State level in general.

       Prof. 'Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, declared that the university has a great role in literacy through activities and events that the sector of Community Service and Environmental Development holds.

      Prof. 'Etman also added that the University doesn't spare any effort in constant coordination with the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education in Gharbia, as well as various faculties of the University to participate in the national literacy project in Gharbia.
