Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, inaugurated today the Center for Electronic Exams at Faculty of Medicine in attendance of Prof. Kamal Okasha, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of University Hospitals’ Board; Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Faculty Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Howieda Ismael, Faculty Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Hassan Al-Tatawy, General Supervisor of University Hospitals; Prof. Hesham Tawfik, Executive Manager of Tanta University Children’s Cancer Hospital; and a group of academic staff members.
Prof. Mahmoud Zaki declared that the Center for Electronic Exams at Faculty of Medicine has been equipped with the most modern computers with internet access. It includes 550 computers for conducting e-exams in the context of digitalizing and developing all student services. He indicated that inauguration of the center at Faculty of Medicine increased the capacity of the centers for electronic exams by 50%; thus, these centers include about 1800 computers.
Moreover, University President added that the university aims to achieve complete digital transformation in all educational, research, administrative, and financial aspects. He affirmed that digitalization led to significant improvement in the institutional performance of Tanta University in the last three years.
Furthermore, Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim pointed out that inauguration of the center at Faculty of Medicine is a qualitative leap in the framework of the renovation process at the faculty. It contributes considerably to enhancement of the infrastructure of the faculty and development of students’ and graduates’ skills according to the latest technology. He thanked University President for his full support to Faculty of Medicine.
