Tanta University hosted an interactive symposium under the title “The Role of Sportspersons in Political Participation” in attendance of administrative council members of Egyptian Football Association and an elite group of famous Egyptian footballers under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President; Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mahmoud Selim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Magdy Wakwak, Acting Dean of Faculty of Physical Education, in attendance of MP\ Abdel Monem Shehab, Senator \ Mohamed Oreiby, Prof. Magdy Abo Fereikha, President of Egyptian Basketball Federation; Mr. Khaled Al-Darndaly, Vice President of Egyptian Football Association; and Prof. Ehab Al-Komy from board member of Egyptian Football Association.

   In his speech, Prof. Mahmoud Zaki welcomed the sports figures attending the symposium at Tanta University. He commended the important outreach role played by sportspersons.
