With Participation of More than 30 Thousand Students in One Week, Tanta University Organizes 24 Symposiums in Attendance of Many Public Figures, National Leaders, MPs and Representatives of NGOs

   Throughout the last week, Tanta University organized 24 outreach symposiums at all faculties of the university, university hostels, university hospitals, and the main centers of the university to disseminate awareness about the significance of students’ participation in the following presidential elections with participation of more than 30 thousand students from various faculties of the university in attendance of many public figures, national leaders, MPs and representatives of NGOs.

   Two of these symposiums were organized by Decent Life Foundation to enhance the concept of volunteerism and to increase students’ awareness about the developmental achievements of the state. An educational symposium was held under the title “The National Egyptian Security, Challenges and Dangers” and was lectured by Staff Brigadier General\ Samir Farag, former Manager of Department of Moral Affairs, Military Expert and former Luxor Governor. In addition, an interactive symposium was organized under the title “Participation is Life, Be Positive, Go and Vote” in cooperation with Coordination Committee of Parties’ Youth and Politicians. Another interactive symposium was held under the title “The Role of Sportspersons in Political Participation” in attendance of administrative council members of Egyptian Football Association and an elite group of famous Egyptian footballers. Moreover, symposiums were organized at all faculties of the university. Two symposiums were held at university hostels and three ones were at Tanta University hospitals.

   Furthermore, Prof. Mahmoud Zaki affirmed that the university organized these symposiums to increase its students’ awareness in the context of its social responsibility as part of the third pivot of its strategic plan.
