Tanta University Gains the 26th Rank at the African Level.

   Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, announced that the university advanced in the Spanish Webometrics Ranking according to the results of January 2024 as it gained the 11th rank locally and the 26th rank at the African level. At the international level, Tanta University gained rank No. 1275 out of more than 31 thousand universities; thus, it advanced by 81 ranks compared to the previously published results.

    In addition, University President affirmed that the advancement of university in Webometrics Ranking proves the efforts exerted in development of its electronic portal coping with the international technology. He declared that Webometrics Ranking has been the largest academic ranking of higher education institutions since 2004. It is an indicator of universities’ commitment to publish scientific content on the internet.

    Moreover, University President added that Webometrics Ranking depends on many indicators such as presence (50%), visibility (50%), openness (10%), and excellence (40%).
