Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, announced that Tanta University was ranked as one of the top 6% universities at the world level according to CUWR ranking. It advanced by 91 ranks and gained rank No. 1237 out of 20966 universities at the international level. In addition, it advanced to the seventh rank locally among Egyptian universities and was ranked the 25th in Africa.

    Moreover, Prof. Mahmoud Zaki affirmed that the university is always keen on improving its rank in world rankings so that it can compete with counterpart universities. He congratulated all university personnel on this achievement highlighting the pivotal role played by academic staff and researchers at the university. He asserted the importance of increasing their scientific outcomes and encouraging them on publishing in prestigious international journals. He added that they have a great role in development of scientific research at the university.

   It is worth noting that CUWR ranking depends on many objective indicators used to assess the four main areas of the ranking including education, employability, faculty and research. It does not rely on surveys or data applied by universities.
