Tanta University’s Convoy in Nathay Examines 1623 Patients and Gives them Medicaments for Free

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, “We adopt the slogan a Medical Convoy Every day to serve patients in the neediest village.”

  Tanta University organized a medical convoy in Nathay village located in Zefta district in Gharbia governorate in attendance of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, and Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting University Vice President Community Service and Environmental Development, in the context enhancing the presidential initiative Decent Life in cooperation with the Supreme Medical Aid Committee of the Cabinet.

  Prof. Mahmoud Zaki confirmed that Tanta University is keen on enhancement of presidential initiatives in health sector that aim to keep Egyptians’ health and contribute to human development strategy. He announced that the university is adopting the slogan “a Medical Convoy Every day” to serve the neediest villages in Gharbia in the framework of the initiative Decent Life launched by President\ Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic.

   Moreover, University President commended the huge turnout at the convoy that included discovering and improving youth’s talents as well as the economic empowerment through presenting some simple industries such as manufacturing soap.

   In addition, Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, declared that 1623 patients in the village were examined and were given medicaments for free at the convoy.

   Furthermore, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, indicated that 82 cases were transferred to University Hospitals to complete their treatment in specialties of orthopedic surgery, ENT, general surgery, chest, internal medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and neurology.
