Celebrating its Golden Jubilee, Tanta University Organizes Medical Convoys to Offer Free Medical Care Services to 1525 Citizens in Kotor

Tanta University organized a medical convoy in Mit Al-Sheikh village located in Kotor district as part of the presidential initiative Decent Life to examine patients, to give them medicaments for free, and to transfer serious cases to University Hospitals.

    Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, affirmed that the university is organizing medical convoys to provide the neediest villages of Gharbia governorate with medical services under the umbrella of the presidential initiative Decent Life in coordination of executive bodies in the governorate.

    Moreover, Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, indicated that there was a high turnout of citizens at the convoy today as 1525 patients were examined and were given medicaments for free in coordination with executive bodies of Gharbia governorate.

    Furthermore, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, declared that 88 serious cases were transferred to University Hospitals to complete their treatment in specialties of orthopedic surgery, ENT, general surgery, chest, internal medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, urology, and neurology.

    It is worth noting that the convoy was held with participation of Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Mohammed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects; Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service; and an elite group of professors from Faculty of Medicine.
