Tanta University organized a huge medical convoy today in Kafr El-Ababda village located in El-Mahalla El-Kobra district in Gharbia governorate to examine patients, and to give them medicaments for free in cooperation with the Supreme Medical Aid Committee of the Cabinet.
Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, asserted that the university is always keen on enhancement of presidential initiative Decent Life and offering medical care services to needy families, according to the slogan “A Convoy Everyday” in the context of celebrating the university’s golden jubilee.
Moreover, Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, pointed out that 1616 patients were examined and were given medicaments for free, in addition to holding a literacy exam for 18 citizens.
Furthermore, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, indicated that 92 patients were transferred to University Hospitals to complete their treatment.
It is worth noting that the convoy is held with participation of Prof. Sahar Al-Naggar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Akram Nomeir, Vice Dean of Faculty of Specific Education for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Mohammed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects; and Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
