In Cooperation between Tanta University and Ministry of Youth, Examining 516 Patients and Giving them Medicaments for Free at the Medical Convoy Organized in El-Mahalla District

Social Activity Department at the General Administration of Youth Welfare at Tanta University organized a medical convoy today in Al-Mootamadia village located in El-Mahalla El-Kobra district in Gharbia governorate to examine patients and to give them medicaments for free under patronage of Prof. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President; Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

    Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, asserted that the convoy was organized in the context of celebrating the university’s golden jubilee and enhancing the presidential initiative Decent Life to offer health care services to needy families according to the slogan “A Convoy Everyday”.

    Furthermore, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, declared that 516 patients in the village were examined and were given medicaments for free, and that 34 cases were transferred to Tanta University Hospitals to complete their treatment.

    It is worth noting that the convoy was held with participation of doctors specialized in internal medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, dermatology, and orthopedic surgery. Faculties that took part in the convoy are faculties of Agriculture, Specific Education, Science, Nursing, and Physical Education in attendance of Mr. Mohammed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects, and Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
