Tanta University President Congratulates Prof. Mahmoud Salim on Being Appointed as University Vice President

    Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, congratulated Prof. Mahmoud Salim Abdel Hamid Salim, Professor at Faculty of Medicine, on being appointed as Tanta University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development based on the issued republican decree, wishing him more success and progress.

    Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced today that new republican decrees were issued appointing university leaders at governmental universities.

     It is worth noting that Prof. Mahmoud Salim gained the Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Tanta University in 1991, the Master’s degree in General Internal Medicine from Tanta University in 1996 with estimation of excellent, and the PhD degree in General Internal Medicine from Tanta University in 2004.

   Moreover, He occupied higher scientific degrees; he was appointed as a Demonstrator in 1996, an Assistant Lecturer in 1997, a Lecturer in 2004, an Assistant Professor in 2009, and a Professor in 2014. Furthermore, he was Manager of Internal Medicine Hospital from 2005 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2018. He has also been Manager of the International Teaching Hospital from 2019 till now.

    Currently, Prof. Salim is a member on the European Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy and a member on the European Society of Hepatology.
